2020 Orma, Toscana rosso IGT

Rebsorten:
50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon und 20% Cabernet Franc.

Ausbau:
18 Monate in französischen Barriques und großen Holzfässern.

Auch in diesem Jahr wieder erstklassig gelungen.
Die Kraft bleibt auch beim 20er das dominierende Elemant, der Wein wird jedoch von Jahrgang zu Jahrgang etwas raffinierter und feiner.
Ein Kraftprotz, der aber nach ausreichender Belüftung durchaus auch mit feiner Klinge zu überzeugen weiß.


Falstaff:
"Leuchtendes Rubin mit leichtem Violettschimmer. Intensive Nase mit Noten nach Gewürznelken, etwas Minze, feine Brombeere, im Hintergrund leicht erdige Komponenten. Breitet sich am Gaumen toll aus, hat viel feinmaschiges, herzhaftes Tannin, schöne Saftigkeit, knackige Frucht, im Finale langer Nachhall." 96 Falstaff

Suckling:
"Tobacco, sage and rosemary come through nicely, together with redcurrants and cassis. Full-bodied, yet polished, with a solid and dense center-palate. Tight at the end now, but will open nicely. Needs two or three years to develop. 50% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 20% cabernet franc." 97 Punkte

Decanter:

It presents considerable intensity in terms of its ink-like flavors of wild plum, blackberry confit, dark spice and cured tobacco. The wine wraps heavily over the palate, imparting lots of important textural richness along the way. You are best off serving a wine of this depth and magnitude with a classic T-bone cut bistecca alla fiorentina." 94 Punkte
